THEOLOGICAL EXPLORATIONS INTO THE CONCEPT OF IMMORTALITY
Immortality, life after death, and eternity are pressing concerns for every person regardless of culture and background. Human beings confront their mortality at every turn, and in doing so are reminded that their earthly life is bounded by a beginning and an end. It is this awareness of our finitude which provokes us to consider whether there is a sphere of existence marked by immortality. An international team of theologians have been commissioned to engage in a year-long intensive investigation of questions surrounding the concept eternity. This site will serve as a place to stay informed on the latest work of the research team, public events, and publications.

This project is hosted by the University of Aberdeen and is part of a larger research scheme, The Immortality Project, which is funded by The Templeton Foundation and based at the University of California - Riverside.
